Hezbollah has been severely impacted by a series of “Israeli” strikes, which included targeting senior commanders and detonating booby-trapped communication devices.

These attacks have left over 1,500 Hezbollah fighters out of action due to serious injuries, such as blindness and loss of limbs, according to sources familiar with the group's operations cited by Reuters.

“Israel’s” airstrikes also killed key commanders, including Ibrahim Aqil, the founder of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan force.

Despite these losses, Hezbollah’s leadership has quickly appointed replacements and maintained their command structure. Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah said in an Aug. 1 speech that the group quickly fills gaps whenever a leader is killed.

A report by the US congress said that Hezbollah strength is estimated to between 40,00- 50,000 fighters, with Nasrallah saying that the group has 100,000 fighters.
